Round Rock Boys Strong Across Gold, Silver and JVB Divisions at HOKA McNeil

ROUND ROCK, Texas — September 19, 2026 — The Round Rock boys cross country team turned in a strong day across the Gold, Silver and Junior Varsity Boys divisions at the 2026 HOKA McNeil Invitational at Old Settlers Park.

Gold Division — 2nd Place, 130 points
Senior Andrew Esparza led the Dragons with an outstanding performance, capturing the Gold Division individual championship in 14:56.6. Round Rock finished second overall with 130 points against one of the strongest fields in Texas.

Silver Division — 7th Place, 294 points
Round Rock placed seventh in the Silver Division with 294 points. The Silver squad provided another competitive varsity-level performance and demonstrated the depth of the Dragon program as the postseason approaches.

Junior Varsity Boys Division
Round Rock also competed in the 5A–6A Junior Varsity Boys race, giving another large group of Dragons valuable experience on the Old Settlers Park state championship course. The JVB performance added to a productive day for the program across all three boys divisions.

With strong performances at the Gold, Silver and JVB levels, Round Rock continues to build momentum heading toward the District 25-6A Championships, Region IV Championships and UIL postseason.
